Retrofit by Abraham Automation GmbH

What does retrofit mean?

Retrofitting is the modernization or upgrading of existing machines, systems or production facilities with new technologies and components in order to improve their performance, efficiency and reliability. The aim is to bring older systems up to the latest technical standard without replacing them completely.
This involves integrating modern control systems, sensors, actuators, software solutions or safety devices into existing machines.

Another decisive advantage of retrofitting is the conservation of resources and the promotion of sustainability, as existing hardware components continue to be used and only the necessary parts are replaced. This not only helps to reduce costs, but also to minimize waste and environmental impact. Retrofitting is therefore a smart and sustainable solution for making older systems fit for the future – economically, environmentally friendly and efficient.

A retrofit can be carried out on everything from individual components to entire systems.

Possible applications

What we offer

Retrofit of industrial plants offers a future-oriented and economical alternative to purchasing new equipment. Through targeted modernization measures, existing machines and systems can be adapted to current requirements in order to increase efficiency, quality and sustainability. Abraham Automation GmbH is your competent partner for the optimization and expansion of your production facilities. Our retrofit services include the analysis, planning and implementation of tailor-made solutions to maximize the performance of your systems – cost-efficiently and sustainably.

Analysis of existing PLC control programs (Siemens Simatic S5, Beckhoff, Codesys etc.)

  • Modernization and replacement of control systems and hardware (e.g. Siemens S5)
  • Optimization of cycle times, assembly processes and quality by expanding the software and hardware
  • Expansion of software interfaces and connection to higher-level systems (e.g. BDE, ERP, MWS.)
  • More economical solution through cost-efficient conversion and modernization instead of new acquisition
  • State-of-the-art machine safety – integration of new controls, scanners, robots or safety technology
  • Improved availability of spare parts by replacing old components Existing hardware such as drives can continue to be used
  • Analysis of the service life of safety components
Retrofit for Safety – consulting and planning for the replacement of safety components
